Shuck & Shell’ is the ultimate foodie's journey from the paddock to the lake to the plate with summer cocktails and sunset tunes to carry you through a delicious sweet chilli crab long table lunch. We'll throw in a locally sourced Summer gin cocktail and a few Wallis Lake oysters to cap off this epic summer foodie event. Maestro Ilan Kidron from the Potbelleez will keep the good vibes and summer tunes flowing through to sunset. All of this is set on the extraordinary lake front peninsula at The Moorings Lakehouse.
You'll start by collecting ingredients from our organic gardens then down to the lake front to break down freshly caught crabs. Next you'll take your bounty up to our chefs to cook up a plate of sweet chilli blue swimmer crab, shuck a few Wallis Lake oysters. This is served through existing red beds and evaporation pits that are located on the road side of the ridge line ensuring no waste water enters the lake.- Utilise compostable or reusable serving ware and containers to reduce single-use plastics.- Provide recycling bins and composting facilities, ensuring all waste is properly sorted and disposed of.
3. Energy Efficiency:- Maximize energy efficiency by utilizing the existing solar-generated power and batteries for75% of the event's energy needs.- Use energy-efficient lighting and equipment throughout the event venue.
